There are lots of ways to get involved with ACSS.

CareerWorks

  • Host a workshop: ACSS participants begin the program with a 3-week employment and life skills curriculum.

  • Guide: We always welcome volunteers to share professional expertise in interview skills, job search techniques, resume development, workplace ethics, team building, financial management, and much more.

  • Computer Lab Support: The ACSS business center is constantly abuzz with activity as clients search for jobs, interview for jobs, correspond with potential employers, build resumes, and learn valuable computer skills. Business center volunteers help our clients in all of these processes.

  • We are seeking volunteers to assist Monday-Friday from 1 pm to 3 pm (Many Individual and Group opportunities exist).

Administrative

With a small team serving a large number of clients each day, any and all office help is appreciated! Tasks include front desk assistance, filing, and data entry. Contact volunteer@atlantacss.org for more details.

Special Projects

Special projects that help improve facilities and build program capacity are available throughout the year.  These opportunities can accommodate large groups and can be scheduled according to the needs of the group and ACSS. Contact volunteer@atlantacss.org for more details.
