Financial Opportunity Center?
LISC Financial Opportunity Centers® (FOCs) are career and financial coaching service centers that help low-to-moderate-income individuals and families to build effective money habits so that they can focus on the financial bottom line. As one of more than 100 FOCs across the country, ACSS provides a well-rounded approach to coaching and guiding our clients to achieve financial stability.
As an extension of our signature program CareerWorks, individuals now also receive financial coaching and income support services in tandem with career development coaching and placement. ACSS' financial stability services aim to assist every individual with building a solid financial foundation and using their new employment to accomplish the following tasks:
- Fund their living expenses
- Secure health care and life insurance
- Create a stronger sense of financial security
- Gain access to even more resources that are available to them
Our staff aid clients in developing and implementing strategies to improve their net income and credit scores, open bank accounts, and start to increase savings. As an FOC, ACSS is now a one-stop shop where clients can receive a bundle of services that truly helps prepare them for self-sufficiency.
