Become an Employment Partner
Through a program called CareerWorks, the ACSS employment team works with employers to provide employees that are job ready, productive, and efficient. Additionally, ACSS provides employee support and assistance, as needed, to strengthen acclimation to the work environment and long-term employment retention.
The ACSS Employment Relations Manager works directly with employers to understand and assess:
- job training needs
- job placement
- talent sourcing
Job seekers enter CareerWorks via a three-week CareerWorks Bootcamp (CB3). The bootcamp enables job seekers to hone their job search skills, address any potential job placement or job retention barriers, and (re)orient themselves to the structure and expectations of the workforce environment. Upon successful completion of CB3, CareerWorks participants have 12-month access to one-on-one personalized mentoring, job placement or job training assistance, and support services.
CareerWorks participants have a variety of experiences and over 30% are veterans. They look to us for information about local employment trends, ways to develop or enhance relevant job skills, and connections to viable employment opportunities. We have a nine-year history of successfully placing our workforce development participants.
